At the Thornton Winery we were able to meet the head wine maker AND get a private tour guided by him and got to taste many cask samples. We met Tom in Temecula and had a absolute blast the rest of the afternoon. We wanted to steer clear of the larger, “tour bus” type wineries, and that’s just what we did.
